Q. Where are ForFriends and Santa Ynez located?

We are located in Santa Ynez, CA – the gateway to Santa Barbara Wine Country. We are just 10 minutes from Solvang and Los Olivos, 15 minutes from Buellton and Los Alamos, and 20 minutes from the famous Santa Rita Hills wine country. We are also just 45 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, 2 ½ hrs from Los Angeles and Long Beach, 3 ½ hrs from San Diego, and 5 hrs from San Francisco. Q. Do we accept pets or service animals

We do accommodate pets in some rooms for a modest nightly fee. If interested in bringing furry friends, please give us a call at (805) 693-0303, x1 to check availability of pet friendly rooms.   We welcome Service Dogs at all times and are sure to enforce all ADA requirements pertaining to the same.

Q. Do we allow children?

We love children but you should know that we are a uniquely adult establishment. Minors are welcomed with a couple of caveats. Each adult agrees not to leave any minor 14 years of age or younger unattended at any time during their stay. They also agree to monitor the minors closely at all times so as to preserve the experience of the other guests and also to avoid injury and damage.

Q. Do we have an Online Rate Guarantee?

Yes, we promise to meet or beat any current rate that you may find for our rooms on any Online Travel Agency or directory. Simply give us a call and tell us the rate and where you found it, and we’ll match or beat it. This offer is only valid by calling and booking directly with us at (805) 693-0303.

Q. What do we require for a deposit?

We require 50% of the total cost of the reservation to hold your room. We collect this at the time your reservation is made. We will then obtain the balance of your reservation on the date that it becomes non-refundable.  If purchasing a Non-Refundable Rate Plan, the entire amount of the stay is collected at the time of booking.

Q. What is our Cancellation Policy?

Non-Refundable rate plans are non-cancellable and non-changable from the date the reservation is made.  For Refunable rate plans, cancellations received 8 days or more prior to check-in will receive a full refund of monies collected less i) credit card transaction fees and ii) a modest service fee of $75 per room. Cancellations received 7 days or less prior to check-in are non-refundable. We apologize in advance that we can neither refund monies collected nor offer a guest credit towards a future stay. Unfortunately, a postponement is considered the same as a cancellation and the same rules will be applied.

Q. What time is check-in?

Check-in officially begins at 3:00.  Our Front Desk closes at 6:00p daily.  If arriving before 6:00, our Front Desk team will be here to greet and assist you if needed.

Arriving Before 3:00: Rooms are often available before 3:00 on check-in day.  Guests are asked to respond with their ETA to a text that they will recieve on the morning of check-in. We can then immediately confirm early availability.

Arriving After 6:00: Since all rooms are keyless, guests may arrive at any time of the evening noting that our Front Desk closes at 6:00p daily.  If guests let us know of their planned late arrival, we’ll be glad to send a site map making it easier to locate their guest room.  Also, if arriving after 9:00p, guests are asked to observe our Quiet Hours of 9p-7a since other guests will be on property.

Q. What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served each morning in our dining room between 8:30-10:00.  We ask that all try to be seated no later than 9:45.  Breakfast may be added to Room-Only rate plans for a modest fee.  Guests are asked to let us know at least 24 hours in advance if wishing to join.  Bon appetit!

Q. What time are wine & hors d'oeuvres served?

Wine and hors d’oeuvres are served daily Sun-Thu in our dining room from 4:00-5:00p. and on Fri & Sat, 4:30-6:00.  Please come ready to socialize and to enjoy good wine and fresh munchies.  Social Hour may be added to Room-Only rate plans for a modest fee.  Guests are asked to let us know a minimum of 24 hours in advance if wishing to join.
